If you’re not familiar with the cartoon False Knees, by Joshua Barkman, I highly recommend checking it out, which you can do on Instagram (and you can support his work on Patreon). I also love Rosemary Mosco’s Bird & Moon science and nature cartoons (she doesn’t seem to have a Patreon account but you can shop her store, and here is her Instagram account).
Both (literally) draw attention to the world we inhabit — to the animals and plants in it, including ourselves — by bringing our focus closer or tilting it disorientingly off-center, and inspiring surprise and wonder.
