A purely material post about some garden stuff I love & long for:
(Click each photo for more details and pricing.)
Bali Frog Fountain … only $842 through my local farmstand (which is actually quite a deal compared with the retail prices of $1,200+)
These Bumblebee Planters … one for me and 9 for my Beehive Bookgroup friends! $14 or $26 depending on size.
This Longwood Claw-Footed Fountain, $286
And some stuff that I have and love love love (Click each photo for more details and pricing):
Muck Boot Co. garden clogs. Someone gave these to me as a gift about 10 years ago and I wear them every day in the garden and also in winter when I go to the garage to get firewood, or out to get mail and hang birdfeeders when the snow’s not too deep. (It’s a discontinued style now, unfortunately; they now sell a “daily garden shoe” but that’s not nearly as easy to slip on as a clog.)
Rain barrel roofwater collector ($130) plus $95 of aluminum gutter material (to come)
A metalwork butterfly and dragonfly watering station, which I bought at Edgecomb Potters near Boothbay, Maine about 15 years ago. Very durable. I leave it out in the winter for aesthetic appeal and to offer water before it freezes over.
The Bushnell 8MP Trophy Cam HD Max Black LED Trail Camera with Night Vision: Raccoons, and deer, and bear, oh my! I love checking the SD card in the morning to see who visited the yard overnight. ($195 usually but it was a Gold Box Deal) (note: bear caught on camera, April 2014)
Japanese lantern. Can’t recall where it came from but I’ve had it for at least 20 years. It will go outside soon.
Cement bulldog statues! I’ve had these for 20 years, too.
