  1. Spectacular colors, but ooh, that is one ominous sky… a sunny stillness in waiting for the inevitable storm.

  2. Are those cat tails? Cat tails are one of the more popular candidates for the official town flower of Los Gatos . . . obviously.

    1. Ha ha. No, it’s some kind of grass.

    2. Well, it does look like a few cattails mixed in but I don’t remember it as a wet spot.

      1. Well, cat tails would like a marsh. That is why they were prominent in Los Gatos a very long time ago. There was a marsh where Los Gatos Creek flowed from the Santa Cruz Mountains, and onto its alluvial plain in the Santa Clara Valley. It is a park now. Of course, Los Gatos is named after bobcats, not the cat tails.
