Today I sheet mulched another section of the side yard bed. I’m out of compost and loam temporarily, so I just used well-watered cardboard, newspaper, and fine dark bark mulch (no dyes or additives) in this area, which will hold only trees, shrubs and perennials. When I sheet-mulch the vegetable and other annuals area, I will use loam and compost and no mulch.
